The main activities of the NGO) DC) is to bring awareness and educate its environment. Many people simply ignore the realities that are outside “our world”, for neither the television nor the radio does not show. Even if basic things are missing and there are many sad stories in Benin, as in other developing countries at any time we want a painting sad because people are cheerful, open and try to move forward. It is also true that the human psyche adapts to what is – or what is missing – and a lot of things that are important to us no sense in developing countries. Although we have our basic needs covered and we have lots of material things, this does not mean we’re happy. In these countries generally found much more heat, family ties and friendships, special affection towards visitors and a willingness to share (food) or to pay a cable to a neighbor, colleague or someone needed, even if it is not known. Of course there are discussions of family problems and the evil eye, but there are no less worthy because of being poor. Basically, it is much more like what one believes, the only differences being the color of our skin and place of birth.
An NGO (DC) can not exist without the funding provided for implementing projects that require money. Fortunately, with a small amount received from many people we can change the lives of a few. We must not forget the enthusiasm and pride that the indigenous population feels when they learn that from a Western country, we care about their daily lives.
